Robin Haase makes a charge and misses
Robin Haase was running on at the top of the first set with the score tied 1-1 at the US Open.
But then the 27-year-old came out firing and missed with two backhand smashes.
The Swiss Open champion was serving for the match at 4-2 in the tiebreak, when Robin Haase went in, and served out.
Haase ended up winning 6-3, 6-4 to progress to the third round.
Haase, who has gone through three consecutive US Open tournaments without dropping a set, said: “I never know. If I have to tell myself the opposite maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow and win a set.
“I had a good time today. The other guys helped a lot, and I’m happy with that.”
